Editorial policy
Global Cycling Journal aims to be clear about what an article says, what supports it and where its limits lie. We value precise language, fair context and corrections made in the open.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable sources and shape each piece to the evidence available. When a subject varies by place or circumstance, we say so rather than implying one account fits everywhere. We do not invent quotations, events or firsthand experience.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled as such, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections
If a reader spots a material error, they can contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Where relevant, we identify this so that an illustrative image is not mistaken for documentary evidence or a photograph of a particular event.
A ride is also a way of seeing
Cycling changes how distance, place and pace feel. We pay attention to those details, without treating every ride as the same.
